Working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Niger

(Official Togo) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad, Robert Dussey paid a brief working visit to Niamey on Thursday, where he was received by Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum.

The trip was an opportunity for the head of Togolese diplomacy, carrying a message from the President of the Republic, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, to take stock of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Lomé and Niamey are indeed planning to intensify their partnership, and to make it more fruitful. In 2019, according to data compiled by the UN, more than $ 80 million of products were exported from Togo to the Sahel country.
