Working visit of Prime Minister K. Mitsotakis today to the Region of Epirus

All the current issues that concern the residents of Epirus, as well as the major development projects that are pending, were discussed by the Regional Governor, Mr. Alexandros Kahrimanis, at the working meeting held today at the Governor’s Office of the Region of Epirus with the Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the President of Parliament of the Hellenes Mr. Konstantinos Tasoula and ministers of the Government.

Among them were the road axes, the projects of the Recovery Fund, the anti-flood projects and the clarification of the responsibilities, the support of the primary sector, the modernization of the TOEBs, the installation of the former Closed Fencing, the implementation of the forestry legislation, the invitation of foreign workers land.

After the conclusion of the meeting-working meeting, successive statements were made by the Regional Governor, Mr. Alex. Kahrimanis, the Speaker of the Parliament Mr. Konstantinos Tassoulas and the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The Regional Governor, starting his presentation, addressing the Prime Minister, emphasized that as he has said in the past, it is the last hope not only for Epirus, but also for Greece to make changes to the state’s bad texts. He then referred to some of the issues discussed at the working meeting, emphasizing the road connection Ioannina-Kakavia, the road connection Ionia Odos-Preveza, the coastal axis, the High Research and Technology Park, the former Klisto Xifaskias, the full implementation of the law that has been passed on forest maps, as well as in the support of the quality primary sector, in the modernization and regulation of the debts of the T.O.E.B.

He also mentioned the need to continue the supply of electric lighting poles, as well as to resolve the issues that exist with the Industrial Park of Thesprotia.

“I want to say thank you for putting up with me. Because the truth is that you are the only one I can – better than Ministers – talk to. Let me tell you my concerns. […] But I have an obligation to put an end to statism and all those who do injustice to our country, and otherwise want to be called progressive”, highlighted the Regional Governor Mr. Alexandros Kahrimanis in conclusion.
