And? How have you been lately?
I can not complain. Fortunately, my wife and I were able to make our dream of owning our own home in Dinklage possible on relatively favorable terms. With the current interest rate and building price development, one should certainly have made some compromises. At the DLRG, things are also going well. Finally there is normality again in club life and many events are taking place again. This is a good balance from everyday work.
What have you really treated yourself to?
We recently had a PV system installed on our family home. In the meantime, one has to speak of “properly treating yourself”.
If you were King of Germany: What should be abolished first?
The high bureaucracy. In many areas you simply notice that there is less talk and more work to be done. Too many good ideas are talked down and never implemented.
What dream will you fulfill next?
That is a difficult question. In the summer I am looking forward to our planned holiday on the Danish coast. I’ve always wanted to go there.
What is your favorite thing to do?
I really enjoy working in the DLRG. Here you meet a lot of interesting people from different backgrounds. I also like working with my hands. I recently built some wooden fence elements in our garden. I also watch Werder football games. In the meantime also gladly again.
What qualities do you like in yourself? And which ones don’t?
I’m a very loyal person. A word and a handshake counted for me. I wish I could approach strangers more openly. That’s sometimes difficult for me.
Which TV show do you like the most?
“Person of Interest” and the documentary series “Feuer & Flamme”. Here you can see that there is hardly any classic television. Like many people, I use streaming services or media libraries more and more.
Who would you like to meet up with?
II would like to meet our Chancellor Olaf Scholz and take a look behind the scenes of the Chancellery. I would be interested to know what is discussed and regulated away from the public.
What would you like to eat again?
Ea really good burger!
Which topic at OM-Online concerned you the most?
In general, I am very interested in the activities in my hometown of Dinklage. As the 1st chairman of the DLRG Dinklage, I am of course following the reports on the renovation of the outdoor pool closely. Our club urgently needs new accommodation. The first talks with the city and council members have already been held here. Of course, we are also observing the current construction price development with concern and hope that there will be a good solution for us so that we can continue our work.

- The native of Dinklager Christian Johannes is 33 years old. He has been married since 2022 and built a single-family home in Dinklage with his wife Julia in 2021.
- After studying law and completing his legal clerkship in Münster and Dortmund, he worked as a Lawyer at the law firm Lenze & Partner in Vechta. His focus is on labor law as well as construction and architect law.
- He is 1st Chairman of the DLRG local group Dinklage and is involved there as a trainer, boatman and signalman. He is also a member of the rifle club Dinklage in der 7th company of castle guards.
