Delivery is now expected for 2024. Interrupted for administrative reasons, the Simone-Veil bridge works, eighth bridge in Bordeaux metropolis, and sixth road bridge, will resume this Monday. And beware of disturbances on the quays of the left bank.
From Monday at 9 p.m. and until March 20 at 8 p.m., Bordeaux Métropole will carry out a series of works on the bridgehead, in its intersection with boulevards Jean-Jacques Bosc and Moga. These works are intended to put the crossroads of the bridgehead on the left bank into service in a situation close to the final configuration. For this, several phases of work will be necessary.
On the night of Monday 8 to Tuesday 9 March. Boulevard des Frères Moga will be closed to traffic in the center entering Bordeaux. A detour is planned via rue Léon-Paillère, rue des Maraichers, quai de Paludate and rue de la Seigliere.
From Tuesday 9 to Monday 15 March. The hopper (access routes to the underground road passage) will be closed, a single traffic lane will thus be maintained in the inbound direction from the bypass towards Bordeaux. The left turn from the bypass towards boulevard Jean-Jacques Bosc is maintained. From Boulevard Jean-Jacques Bosc, it will be impossible to turn left towards Bordeaux. A detour is planned via rue Léon-Paillère, rue des Maraichers, quai de Paludate and rue de la Seigliere.
From Monday March 15, 10 a.m. to Friday March 19, 8 p.m. The hopper in the direction entering Rocade / Bordeaux will be put back into service. As a reminder, and as indicated on the signage, the template height is 2.7 meters. It will still be impossible to turn left from Boulevard Jean-Jacques Bosc towards Bordeaux.
From Friday 19 to Saturday 20 March. Significant traffic restrictions throughout the sector are expected due to the works limiting the capacity to absorb traffic. From Sunday March 21, the hopper, in the outgoing and incoming directions, will be open in its final configuration.
