It is in the heart of the city, under the Mainvilliers market hall, that Joël Tanaff and Martine Frische, candidates for the departmental elections in the canton of Chartres 3, presented their replacements: Nicole Mas, departmental secretary of the Independent Democratic Workers Party (POID), and Laurent Simon, caregiver. “For a year, the government has offered 560 billion euros to the capitalists, who do not need it, and refused to workers, young people, retirees, families a minimum to no longer live in poverty”, insists Joël Tanaff, one of the two candidates of this pair supported by the POID. “The Department is responsible for the current situation as it relays government policy. You just have to come to the market to see all these women who only have odd jobs in buildings, where they only work a few hours a week and cannot feed their children. This is the situation we live in Mainvilliers. “
The pair calls for the requisition of these billions for housing. “HLM companies must become public again, with civil servants to give real work to young people, to women who have nothing to live on. We need to build housing, recruit staff in college, nursing home, hospitals, where we continue to close beds. We have to stop trying to make health, education and daily life profitable. “
“In this system of decentralization, we always entrust more to local communities with less resources. There are a lot of needs. We must always do charity. Thus, the college students received only two masks in our department, while in some regions, the Departments gave them tablets or computers, ”insists Nicole Mas.
“With us, parents have had to go into debt so that their children can work while billions are delivered to banks and employers who use them to lay off workers. “
The candidates refuse the privatization of the RN 154 and the RN 12 in favor of a toll motorway “enriching the shareholders and making the population pay”.
