Note that under EU Directive 2001/55/EC, citizens have the right to temporary protection without lengthy bureaucratic procedures.
Where do Ukrainians want to work?
According to the expert, the general interest of service search engines in working abroad is observed in offers from employers from Poland, Germany, Israel, UK and Czech Republic.
Interestingly, it is from these countries that the most vacancies for Ukrainians are posted on the platform. Therefore, they respond to them there more often.
In different countries, the specifics of obtaining temporary protection may differ.
Poland
As of the beginning of May, OLX posted 572 job vacancies in Poland. Search engines can count on an average salary of almost PLN 4,900 (almost 1,050 euros). At the same time, at the beginning of May, about 400,000 Ukrainians of working age were registered in the country, that is, there is a lot of competition.
Registration features: takes place at the time of entry at the Polish border checkpoint or at the local administration already upon arrival. In Poland, you can find a job without additional documents and stay in the country for up to 18 months.
Germany
The total number of Ukrainian migrants in the country in May is 280 thousand people. At the beginning of May, 329 current job vacancies in Germany were published on the service. On average, they offer a fee of 1,640 euros.
Registration features: migrants who do not have a short-stay visa can obtain a residence permit within 90 days after arrival by submitting an appropriate application to the foreign representation at the place of residence. The document allows you to live in the country for a year with the possibility of extending for another 2 years, and also provides the right to assistance to the Employment Agency.
Israel
The country has a more complicated procedure for accepting Ukrainians than the EU, so there has not yet been a large influx of our compatriots in Israel. However, the average salary of 85,000 hryvnia (approximately 9,630 shekels) makes the country attractive among search engines. There are currently 269 vacancies on OLX.
Registration features: A work visa is required for employment. Its owners have the right to invite members of their families to the country, who can stay in Israel for up to 90 days in the status of tourists.
Great Britain
Just like Israel, Britain is not a member of the European Union, so the EU Directive does not apply to it. However, the high level of average wages (75 thousand hryvnias or 2 thousand pounds sterling) motivates Ukrainians to apply for vacancies, which are now 118 on OLX.
Registration features: In order to obtain asylum if you have relatives inside the country, you must obtain a visa before entering the UK. You can enter the country without a visa with the possibility of employment if the migrant finds a sponsor-resident of the country who agrees to provide a Ukrainian with housing for 6 months free of charge.
Czech Republic
320,000 migrants moved here. This country closes the top five most popular countries among the search engines themselves on the service. There are 150 job offers posted here. The average fee is 40 thousand hryvnias (31,725 crowns).
Registration features: From March 21, migrants from Ukraine can work in the Czech Republic without obtaining a permit. At the same time, Ukrainians holding a Schengen, seasonal or special work visa that expires in less than 14 days can apply for a special long-term visa.
