This Saturday, November 25, there is an appointment with letters. The Tucumán writer Alejandra Díaz will give a reading and writing workshop and, later, she will present three books of her authorship.
The activity, called “Ritual of Words”, is organized by the Directorate of Libraries and Archives of the Secretariat of Cultural Management of the Province and will be held at the Historical Archive (Sarmiento 449) with free participation. In the case of the workshop, prior registration is recommended.
The reading and writing workshop is scheduled for Saturday the 25th at 5:00 p.m. and, among the topics to be addressed, writing was anticipated as an essential tool of expression to express ourselves and manifest; readings by Latin American authors such as Sara Gallardo and Susana Thénon; and the plastic arts: collage, intervention of poems, craftsmanship and the experience of writing as a healing ritual. People interested in literature and poetry, and teachers in the area of Literature, can participate.
Later, at 7 p.m., the writer will present three books of her authorship. “Ritual”, a handmade book made with Ediciones Arroyo, “Itinerary of silence”, from the Aconquija Editorial Fund (Ente Cultural Tucumán) and “Music of broken bodies”, from Falta Envido Ediciones, all three published this year.

About the writer
Alejandra Díaz is a writer, poet, narrator and essayist, born in Bella Vista, province of Tucumán, she participated in numerous printed and virtual anthologies in Argentina, Managua, Montevideo and Spain. She is a professor of Literature and English Language, she graduated from the National University of Tucumán. She specialized in “Myth and Symbol in NOA Literature”. From a very young age she has also dedicated herself to translating texts in Latin and Greek and archaic English. He published Voces de Nuevo Horizonte (Ed. Joetuc. 1987), The skin of the World (Ed. Parque Chas. El rey Tuerto Collection. 2013), POLAROID (Ed. by Author. 2015), Ceremonies-memory of water (El Ingenio Tucumán Edita . 2017). She has an unpublished novel: The Light on Lost Things (2016). Numerous unpublished collections of poems such as Annotations on the Margin, in memoriam of her father (2018-2019) and her most recent works, which she presents on this visit to Catamarca.
