Washington D.C. In his early films he likes to mimic the brutal killer who shines with excessive violence. In real life, Woody Harrelson (“Larry Flynt – The Naked Truth”) is now one thing above all else: a loving family man. And that’s supposed to be the reason he hit an overly pushy fan at the Watergate Hotel in Washington DC.
As „Page Six“ reports, the incident happened on Wednesday (local time): Woody Harrelson had just been to the hotel with one of his three daughters when a very overzealous fan wanted to take a photo of the two. According to the police report, the “Zombieland” star wanted to make it clear to the man that he should please stop and delete the photos he had already taken. Then it got seemingly brutal.
The hotel guest had thrown himself on Harrelson “to grab him by the neck”. This is how the US star describes it. In self-defense he had Hollywood star then hit the attacker in the neck.
Harrelson himself called the police and the hotel guest was interrogated in his room. Several hotel guests could also have witnessed the attack on Harrelson. In the meantime, the US actor has also filed a complaint against the attacker, reports US media.

Harrelson is the father of three daughters, Makani (15), Zoe (25) and Deni (28), whom he has with his wife Lara Louie. It is unclear which of his daughters were present in the attack.
Harrelson is currently working in Washington on a new HBO miniseries: “The White House Plumbers”. She is supposed to be about the Watergate scandal in 1972. There is no start date yet. Previously, he was on the very successful HBO series “True Detective” for which he was nominated for a 2015 Golden Globe. In 2018 he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”. (mg)
