TOKYO – Indonesian male lifter, Eko Yuli Irawan, managed to win a silver medal from the sport of weightlifting 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Appearing on Sunday (25/7/2021) afternoon WIB, Eko Yuli, who went down in the 61 kg class, successfully recorded a total force of 302 kg.
Eko Yuli recorded the total force through a 137 kg snatch attempt and a 165 kg clean and jerk effort. Eko Yuli had to admit the strength of the lifter from China, Li Fabin, who won the gold medal with a total force of 313 kg.
Appearing in Group A in the 61 kg class, Eko Yuli succeeded in trying his first snatch. Eko Yuli, who immediately tried to lift the 137 kg weight, successfully passed it perfectly in the first trial.
Eko Yuli’s strongest challenger, Li Fabin, also tried to directly lift the iron weighing 137 kg. However, Li Fabin failed on his first attempt with the batch.

Li Fabin only succeeded in lifting 137 kg in the second try. While Eko Yuli, he decided to immediately test lifting 141 kg in his second try.

Unfortunately, when trying to lift a weight of 141 kg, Eko Yuli actually failed after taking a long time to square off. In his last attempt, Eko Yuli again failed to lift a weight of 141 kg.
As a result, Eko Yuli had to settle for ending the snatch at 137 kg. He was in second place in the snatch session because Li Fabin successfully lifted 141 kg in his third attempt.
