W on Saturday in Warsaw, another protests were held organized by the National Women’s Strike. The demonstrators started gathering already around 15 at the Dmowski roundabout, but the protest did not start right away, because its participants were IDed by the police.
Women’s strike at approx. 16 set off from the Dmowskiego roundabout. Participants just after entering ul. Marszałkowska, they were blocked by police officers and police cars, which made it impossible for them to cross the road. During the intervention, the police used tear gas, and among those who suffered was a KO MP Barbara Nowacka.

They show Nowacka showing the policeman his MP ID, and then the officer spraying it with gas straight in the face.
– I was holding a parliamentary seat, but I got gas. I think this is an idea of the police to intimidate, but women will not be afraid – Nowacka said in an interview with TVN24.

The KO deputy commented on the whole matter later on the social networking site: “On the 102nd anniversary of gaining voting rights by Polish women, at a rally for women’s rights, I was attacked by a police officer with gas. From a distance of about 30-50 cm, in the eyes. Not only me. This is how it is treated. in Poland fighting for the rights of women. And it’s a devil that women (I show the ID card, as shown in the photo), but female citizens “
