Women’s soccer team Hyo-ju Choo was selected as a substitute for injured Nakma and Jangchang

The Korea Football Association (KFA) said on the 15th (hereinafter Korean time) that “Chu Hyo-joo is excluded from the list of convocation training due to a fatigue fracture on the left foot, and Jangchang is selected for replacement.”

The women’s national team, led by coach Colin Bell, will be training for a month in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do and Seogwipo, Jeju-do ahead of the Tokyo Olympics Asian Final Qualifier playoffs.

Excluding overseas players in the current season, 26 players will be called and training will be held in Gangjin from January 18 to February 10 and in Seogwipo from February 11 to 18. After this convocation training, coach Bell decides the final list to participate in the playoffs with China in consideration of joining overseas groups. Meanwhile, the Tokyo Olympics playoffs with China will be held at home and away, and the first leg will be held on the afternoon of February 19. At 8 o’clock at Jeju World Cup Stadium, the second round will be held at 8:30 PM on February 24 at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center in China.

If it succeeds in advancing to the finals this time, it will write a new history of advancing to the Olympics finals for the first time in Korean women’s football history.
