After a one-year hiatus, the World Cup returns overseas, with the women appearing on the slopes in Killington. There is a second giant slalom on the program this season.

The biggest pressure on Mikael Shiffrin?

Mikaela Shiffrin won the traditional opening event just ahead of Lara Gutová-Behrami, Petra Vlhová was more than a second behind in 3rd place, but she was still satisfied with her performance on the Austrian Soelden Glacier.

The winner of five huge World Cup slaloms and a world champion two years ago from this discipline last week in Levi showed that she prepared well beyond the Arctic Circle. She showed the four fastest races and, thanks to a full points gain, even got to the top of the overall classification. However, this is not a priority, partial successes are important and others will want to record in the huge slalom in Killington.

Mikaela Shiffrin had health problems in front of Levi, but she still doesn’t seem to be 100 percent comfortable. The chance thus opens up for Marta Bassinová or Lara Gutová Behrami. The Italian “giant” in Soelden did not come out when she did not finish the first round, but she won in Killington for the last time.

What we recommend to guess:

L. Gutová-Behramiová 1

P. Vlhova 1-3

Petra finished last in the shortened “image” of the sixth, but now she could still rise and the stage is not unrealistic. I prefer Lara Gut-Behrami to win, who seems to be the best prepared.
