Women’s football professionals from Bobo played a gala match on August 8, 2023, on the initiative of Issiaka Ido, a football lover and actor in the field. Objective, “to put the players in the leg” and bring together football enthusiasts, to strengthen social cohesion. The match took place under the gaze of the guests, including the sponsor, Mountamou Kani, Publication Director of L’Express du Faso.
Team ”A” and Team ”B”, this is how the players were distributed for this gala match, since most of them played together. At 5 p.m., the kick-off is given by the referee, and it’s off for a 2×35 minute match. The first 5 are dominated by team ”A”, visibly in better shape than their adversary, team ‘B’. By dint of putting pressure on the latter, team “A” ends up finding the net in the 5theminute through their number 3 bib, Mariam Barro. Blow to the head of the players of team “B” who come out of their hibernation. They will however run behind the score until the end of the first period, without success.
In the second half, the “B” team is the first to go on the offensive in an attempt to set the record straight. They create several chances, but do not manage to materialize them. Their adversary who, already leading in the score, proceeds from time to time to counterattacks with the aim of widening the gap in order to take shelter. However, the score will remain unchanged until the referee decides the end of the game. Team “A” thus wins this gala match by the score of one goal to nil. Note that this activity is in its second edition and for the initiator Issiaka Ido, ” tonight, there was no winner or loser. It is social cohesion that emerges strengthened”. The initiative is appreciated by the sponsor Mountamou Kani, Publication Director of L’Express du Faso who did not fail to encourage the players who all defended themselves well on the field. The “B” team leaves with a financial envelope, just like the “A” with the difference that the latter also leaves with a trophy. Appointment is therefore made for next year for edition 3.
