Neukirchen b. Holy Blood. In the run-up to Christmas in particular, the Catholic Women’s Association is once again setting a sign of charity and arranging a fundraising campaign for the benefit of their co-workers “Women help women in need”. Since the Neukirchen Advent market could not take place as usual this year due to the corona, the board of the women’s association decided to carry out a fundraising campaign anyway. The members of the Frauenbund branch in Neukirchen b. Holy Blood and everyone who likes to bake were asked to donate cookies. A considerable amount of different “pastries” came together, which were lovingly packed in bags by active ladies from the executive committee.
Over 100 bags could be filled with the donated and delicious cookies. Pastor Georg Englmeier had allowed sales in the pilgrimage church before and after the services on the 1st of Advent and had set up a table in the back of the pilgrimage church. Many churchgoers gladly accepted the offer and also made generous donations. The women’s association thanks all the hard-working bakers and donors, as well as Pastor Englmeier. The proceeds from the sale of cookies by the KDFB Neukirchen b. Holy Blood is passed on and this year goes to the solidarity fund of the KDFB Regensburg “Women help women in need”. (kbr)
