The Women’s Committee of North and East Syria has approved a regulation for the prevention of violence against women.
The monthly meeting of the Coordination of Women of North and East Syria was held at the Autonomous Administration Council of Raqqa. Delegates from all regions except the representative of the Afrin region attended the meeting.
The regulations on combating violence against women, which were on the meeting’s agenda, were approved and implemented.
The regulation provides for measures to protect women against domestic violence, physical violence, psychological violence and discrimination. The regulation consisting of 12 articles was unanimously approved.
The Turkish state’s continued attacks on northern and eastern Syria were also discussed at the meeting.
