Women in leadership positions enrich the corporate world. Various studies show that diversity in management has a positive effect on company performance. But which strategies and measures help in practice to pave the way for more women in leadership positions?
The Hanover-Hildesheim future region will address this question at its annual future conference on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Experts from various industries discuss innovative approaches and the advantages of diverse corporate management with the audience.
The future conference will take place in the Danish pavilion on EU 11 Boulevard in Hanover. Participation is free. Registration is possible online from now until October 18th.
Program and speakers
After the welcome from Cordula Drautz, chairwoman of the Hannover-Hildesheim Future Region steering group and head of the Hanover region, Christian Berg, managing director of the Albright Academy, Albright Foundation, reflects on what it means, “If the boss is always called Thomas”. Silke Richter, head of the vocational training department at the IHK Hannover, gives a keynote speech on the topic “Women – MINT careers – leadership positions”.
Heike Döpke, Chairwoman of the Hannover Employment Agency, then presents strategies to increase the employment potential of women – also as a strategy against the shortage of skilled workers. After a break, the best practice talk “Success Stories of Women” will take place with Frauke Patzke, Chairwoman of the Leine-Weser Skilled Workers’ Alliance, State Representative for Leine-Weser Regional Development, Jasmin Arbabian Vogel, Managing Director of Interkulturer Sozialdienst GmbH, Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of Sweden in Lower Saxony , and Ayten Berse, coordination office for women and careers in the Hanover region.
At the end of the event, the chairmanship of the steering group will be handed over to Malte Spitzer, First City Councilor of the City of Hildesheim.
