Zofia Klepacka reported via social media that “female boxers” from the security of the Warsaw Uprising Museum beat her and used pepper spray on her.
“I was poked, insulted, I got hit twice in the head where I fell and when I was lying there, the second one ran up and used pepper spray right in the eye and face,” writes Klepacka, also posting photos illustrating the effects of the incident. The sportswoman writes that the beating took place when she wanted to collect invitations to a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, in which her grandfather, Marian Klepacki, alias Cichy, fought.
“I just wanted to pick up invitations to the Warsaw Uprising Celebrations and walk like a human being down the sidewalk. These are the times when a woman has to get punched in the face,” wrote Zofia Klepacka (original spelling – ed.).
In a subsequent post, the windsurfer said she felt fine and had not reported the incident to law enforcement. “Nevertheless, people should not be treated this way,” she wrote.
