Women at the helm in a man’s world: founder Solange (91) and granddaughter Sophie (38) together lead Antwerp shipping company Ringoot (Schoten)

It is not the biggest player, but the Antwerp shipping company Ringoot has been afloat for three generations. The family business is led by a unique tandem: founder Solange still works full-time at the office in Schoten at the age of 91, granddaughter Sophie has been working as CEO for three years now. However, the Ringoot ladies had to deal with the necessary setbacks over the years. “But we will not let ourselves be pushed into a victim role.”
