The woman who may have been the victim of a kidnapping in Eindhoven was found safe and sound on Saturday evening. The help of the public involved led to the golden tip. This is reported by the police.
The police were very concerned about the fate of a woman who may have been kidnapped in Eindhoven on Friday evening. She seems to have been taken against her will in a blue Citroen C2 in the vicinity of the Stationsplein.
According to witnesses, the woman was forcefully pushed into the car by three men at ten past six on Friday evening. That would have happened after an argument with one of those men near a cinema on Dommelstraat.
The car, an older model Citroen C2, was parked behind the tourist information building at 18 Septemberplein, according to the police. From there, the car would have turned right into the Vestdijktunnel and then continued towards the Neckerspoel.
Multiple witnesses
The police initially received a report that a woman had been taken away forcibly. Officers then conducted an investigation at the scene. There, the police spoke to several witnesses who independently confirmed the image. “It is not yet clear what exactly happened on Friday,” said the police.
Camera images
Camera images taken in the area were included in the investigation. “Maybe it’s a storm in a teacup, but this is something we want to investigate carefully.”
The police are still looking for witnesses who have seen what happened on Friday evening near the Stationsplein or who can tell more about the car.
