NEW YORK – Authorities are searching for a suspect of violently robbing an elderly man in broad daylight, police announced.
According to the report, the incident occurred on Saturday, around 8:19 am, in front of 295 170th Street in the Bronx. It appears that a woman approached the 85-year-old man, pushed him to the ground and climbed on top of him. At that point, the suspect took about $ 7 out of her pocket and fled down College Avenue.
The victim suffered bruises on his neck and back and was treated at NYC Health & Hospital in critical but stable condition.
The suspect is described as being in her 20s to 30s, with short black hair and was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, a gray cap, black pants and black sneakers.
