Woman Tricked into Part-Time Job Through YouTube Subscriptions and Likes

A woman in Depok with the initials SN being tricked into a part-time job mode through an application by simply clicking like and subscribing to YouTube videos. SN revealed the reason for wanting to deposit tens of millions of dollars.

“I want to stop, but thinking about the previous money that was already out, it’s a shame and this is the last task. Yes, finally the transfer amount is Rp. 14.7 million,” said SN when contacted by journalists, Tuesday (9/5/2023).

SN made a follow-up transfer of Rp. 14.7 million because he was promised the perpetrator would be his last task before the money that had been deposited previously could be disbursed. However, unexpectedly he was deceived by up to IDR 21 million.

“I want to transfer because there is influence from the small group as if a team was formed, right? It won’t be liquidated if one person doesn’t complete the task,” he explained.

SN explained that he had communicated with other members of the VIP group to ask about commissions that had not been disbursed. However, the response of the VIP group members was casual. SN also concluded that the group contained a gang of perpetrators.

“Yeah, I asked everything right after finishing the last task because the money didn’t flow, right. But they responded, that’s how it was, just take it easy. They are all one gang,” he said.

Previously, a woman with the initials SN was tricked into a part-time job mode through an application by simply clicking like and subscribing to a YouTube video. SN admitted that at first the perpetrator gave WhatsApp messages many times and miscalled him.

“Finally I asked yes why is that right, finally when I asked him like that invite I’m in the Telegram group. I’m not interested in joining, but when I was put in the Telegram group which was very busy, it contained more than 300 people,” said SN when contacted by journalists, Tuesday (9/5/2023).

SN said the group looked active and convincing. SN admitted that he was just following the direction of the perpetrator’s assignment to like and subscribe.

“Then the admin kept on repeating the task, ‘Next, Sis’, up to 3 assignments. In the end, he said ‘Three tasks have been completed, OK? rewardwe will TF’. In the end, it was true that in TF, it was really cheap, at first it was only 15,000,” he said.
