Erabaru.net. A wife has revealed how she kicked her husband out of the delivery room after he made a joke while she was in labour.
She went on Reddit and wrote on the AITA forum: “My husband was so excited and so supportive and caring during the pregnancy. The only thing is she’s gotten a little obsessed with watching YouTube and TikTok videos of husbands pranking their wives during childbirth.”
The wife continued: “At first I didn’t mind but then he started joking casually about doing things he saw in videos saying it would be funny.”
“I clearly expressed my distaste for them and asked him not to do as he saw fit.”
“He agreed and joked about it from time to time, but I brushed it off because I believed him and thought nothing would happen.”
After eight hours of work, her husband let out a loud fart and shouted: “What are you eating? The smell is disgusting!”
The woman recognized him as one of the pranksters from the clip she had seen, so she decided to throw him out of the room.
“He started arguing saying it was just a joke but I insisted and luckily the nurse helped him out.”
“I lived the last four hours of labor alone because my family lived out of state and I wasn’t close to my mother-in-law.”
“After giving birth, I told the nurse she could go back to the room and she was mad,” she said.
“He started demanding that I tell him why I kicked him out. I calmly told him the reason but he got angry.”
“He didn’t talk to me for a week. His mother took his side saying that I was a real bitch for kicking him out. Usually he would have defended me against her but this time he completely agreed.”
The woman now feels bad that her partner missed the chance to see their child born because he was so excited to witness it.
One Reddit user commented: “You took a tiny human out of your body. It’s painful and scary, and it’s up to you to make up your mind in that situation. You tell him not to. He was selfish and still did it. He feels his needs are more important than yours.”
Another wrote: “What does he think is funny about that? Also, how disgusting is the delivery room attendant, who definitely doesn’t need to hear or smell a grown man fart loudly. Well, he played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. I’m so sorry this messed up what was supposed to be a magical time for the both of you.”
