A woman in Suriname was transported by ambulance to the emergency department on Wednesday with burns that she sustained almost all over her body.
It is learned that she was at the Kalksteenstraat in Suriname for cultural activities. Things went wrong during this activity, as a result of which the victim sustained burn injuries.
A man also suffered burns, but his injuries were not so serious that he had to be transported by ambulance.
The Geyersvlijt police were on site for an investigation. The victim has been taken in for observation.
The investigation continues.
