The incident allegedly occurred in her vehicle in Gheudestraat in Anderlecht. The ambulance crew tried in vain to resuscitate the victim, a resident of Braine-l’Alleud.
She was eventually taken to hospital where the woman died. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office, which has opened an investigation, has not yet released details about the exact circumstances of the shooting.
