A woman was pushed, for no apparent reason, onto the subway tracks by an unknown person, Tuesday night in Manhattan.
The events were reported at the Chambers Street-West Broadway station around 11:00 pm.
Police reported that a man approached a 34-year-old woman and pushed her onto the tracks.
Another passenger who was on the platform helped the woman to get out and avoid a major tragedy.
The woman was taken to an area hospital with a leg injury.
Police described the suspect as a man in his 40s wearing a red shirt and black pants.
