Woman pretends to have terminal cancer to have lavish wedding

The woman wanted to make the wedding of her dreams come true and to achieve this she told her friends and family that she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and that she wanted to marry the love of her life before she died.

Taking advantage of the pity of her acquaintances and begging to be granted her last wish before losing her battle with cancer, Toni began raising funds.

But the woman went beyond that, as she also shaved her head and accepted television interviews to tell her story.

Toni Standen raised more than $ 11,000 for her dream wedding, which was attended by 150 guests.

In addition, the couple were able to enjoy a spectacular honeymoon in Turkey, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Italy.

Friends discover the woman’s lie

In January of this year, the woman published that the disease had spread to her entire body and she had only two months of life.

In February, the rumor spread on social networks that claimed that the woman had already died; However, Toni herself denied the matter saying that they were ‘hackers’.

And later, in April, Standen told on his social networks that he had caught Covid-19.

Then, the couple’s friends tried to contact her, as they began to have suspicions about Toni’s true health condition.

The woman received a phone call and when she felt cornered she burst into tears and ended up confessing the truth.

The call was recorded and the friends contacted the police after hanging up the phone.
