Woman Omtzigt raises the alarm: vote CDA members ended up wrong | Inland

One of them is Pieter Omtzigt’s wife. She thought she would cast a digital vote for her husband, but was subsequently notified that she had voted for Hugo de Jonge.

According to the CDA, an investigation by a civil-law notary into the voting forms did not reveal a technical error.

The members would indeed have voted for the candidate who named the system.

Hugo de Jonge eventually won 50.7 percent of the votes in the party leader election and was thus just ahead of its opponent Pieter Omtzigt.
