A woman from the US state of California accidentally threw a winning lottery ticket in the washing machine. The woman misses out on as much as $ 26 million, or nearly $ 21.5 million.

“When she took her washed clothes out of the washing machine, the ticket was shredded into small pieces,” Bobby Henley, a regular at the gas station where the winning ticket was bought, testified to CBS Los Angeles. “I ran into her afterwards. She tried desperately to put the ticket together, but it was too late. ”
