Orlando –
A woman troubles wildlife wardens and hotel employees. He carelessly left a crocodile in the hotel bathtub.
Launch New York Post, Thursday (28/9/2023), according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), a woman named Madison Stephan celebrated her birthday at a hotel. He rented a room.
He wanted his birthday to be memorable. To be different from other people’s birthdays, he used a crocodile for the photo. The crocodile was stolen from his former place of work.
After the photo session was over, Madison just left the crocodile in the hotel bathroom tub and panicked the hotel room attendant. The hotel manager then reported it to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Next, the report is directed to the FWC.
The report asked them to deal with an alligator brought by Madison Stephan in the hotel bathroom.
According to the incident report, Madison told officers she used to work at Croc Encounters in Tampa. He admitted that he borrowed the crocodile to take to the hotel to take photos with him on his birthday.
Officials said Madison said he went to the wildlife care center before it opened and used a key to open the door. Yes, he still has the keys to the building. He then took the crocodile to the hotel and put it in the bathtub.
Madison’s attempt to bring the crocodile to the hotel is not without risk. The distance between Croc Encounters and Grove Resort and Water Park is quite far, namely more than an hour away by car.
Meanwhile, according to one of the woman’s friends, Madison has announced that she will be holding a special birthday full of surprises for her friends. Madison takes them on a ride to Croc Encounters, apparently to catch the crocodile.
Because it was in cold water in a hotel bathtub, FWC officials said the crocodile was cold to the touch. Officers immediately contacted Croc Encounters. From there it became known that Madison was no longer an employee of Croc Encounters.
Croc Encounter explained that Madison did not actually have permission to be on the property to even take the alligator. But they were reluctant to file charges of theft or trespassing against Stephan. Now, the crocodile has been returned to Croc Encounters.
Afterwards, Madison received a summons to appear in court regarding ownership of the crocodile.
