All full of blood: A 37-year-old was presented with a terrible picture when she returned home to her apartment in Kremsmünster (Kirchdorf an der Krems district) late on Wednesday evening. The shocked woman found traces of blood in all the rooms, her badly injured dog was crouching in the garden. The eight year old Stafford Terrier had stab wounds all over his body. The dog was taken to a veterinary clinic, where she died shortly afterwards.
The owner immediately had a suspicion who could have done this to her pet: her roommate – she was no longer in the apartment when the police arrived – had a problem with the dog, she told the officers. Just a few days ago, she also threatened to kill the 33-year-old.
At around 12:30 a.m., the alleged perpetrator was found and arrested. She is said to have previously consumed various drugs and then attacked the dog with a kitchen knife with a blade of about 20 centimeters. She is said to have stabbed the helpless animal more than 20 times. The woman was brought to the prison by order of the Steyr public prosecutor’s office, the police said on Thursday morning.
