The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that María Cristina Argueta Trejo was sentenced to 15 years in prison for extorting a merchant from San Miguel.
According to the investigations, the woman and other gang members called the victim to demand different amounts of money, but out of fear of threats, the merchant made a deposit of $250 to a bank account.
Furthermore, the FGR was able to verify in the trial that Argueta was the one who received the extortion money and the First Sentencing Court of San Miguel imposed the sentence on him for the crime of aggravated extortion.
