NEW YORK — A person was run over on a street in Manhattan on Wednesday, according to the New York City Police.
The incident took place around 2:01 p.m., near the intersection of West 34th Street y 6th Avenuewhere the driver of a scooter allegedly ran over the woman.
The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital with a head injury, but in stable condition, according to authorities.
The driver of the scooter remained at the scene and is now in police custody, according to the uniformed officer.
Charges against the driver were not made public at this time.
As a result of the collision, an SBS 34 bus, which crosses the county on 34th Street, was out of service, according to the transportation authority. The MTA bus was not responsible for hitting anyone at the scene, according to officials.
An investigation is ongoing.
