The Lunchang tragedy occurred in Sha Tin. Today (8th) around 5:00 a.m., an 80-year-old man in Mingxin Building, Yiming Village, suspected that he swung a knife and beheaded his wife of similar age. The ambulancemen came to the building after receiving the report and found that the wife’s head and hands were injured, blood gushed out like a fountain and stained red pajamas, and the old man who fell from the building was unconscious. The old man was later confirmed dead.
Officers went to the scene to investigate and found blood stains on the window sill of a unit on the 13th floor of the building. It is believed that the unit is the residence of the victim and the couple, and evidence is being searched in the unit. In addition, the old man fell to an entrance and exit of the building and left a large pool of blood on the ground. The staff also covered the blood with a tent to collect samples and clean up the scene later.
