Woman in Tromsø reported – wanted to fly despite quarantine – NRK Troms and Finnmark

– We received tips on the mother twig that a woman refused to comply with the quarantine order. She was going to fly now, so we went to the airport and took her from there, says operations manager in Troms police district, Eirik Kileng.

The police were notified by Tromsø municipality. The woman herself had told the municipality that she would not follow the quarantine order.

– She was not particularly cooperative, but she was eventually taken out of the airport and joined voluntarily.

The police have now opened a case on the incident and the woman has been accommodated in a quarantine hotel in Tromsø.

– Then it is up to the lawyer to look at the case in relation to what punishment she may be imposed. But fines are common, says Kileng.
