Woman in North Kolaka Killed by Husband Due to Refuse Invitation to Sex

“We have determined that the victim’s husband, on behalf of Rusman, is a suspect,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for North Kolaka Police, Iptu Alamsyah Nugraha, Monday (30/8/2021).

The incident occurred last Friday (27/8). At that time, the perpetrator had just come home from work. He then asked his wife to have sex.

“Chronologically, when he came home from work, the husband wanted to ask for a husband and wife relationship, but the wife refused on the grounds that she was menstruating,” he said.

Police revealed that the perpetrator also suspected the victim was in a relationship with another man. There was an act of murder.

“After we examined several witnesses, including the suspect himself, the motive for the murder was because the victim or the suspect’s wife refused to have marital relations and was motivated by jealousy from the suspect that the victim had another man,” he explained.

After killing the victim, the perpetrator thought to end his own life. However, he was rescued by local residents.

“The wound was after killing the victim, the husband had thought of committing suicide but was saved,” he said.

The perpetrator is currently being held at the North Kolaka Police Station. The perpetrators were charged with Article 338 concerning murder and Article 44 concerning domestic violence, which carries a maximum penalty of the death penalty.
