Woman in Her 20s Seriously Injured After Being Pushed in Front of Moving Train in Manhattan Subway Station

A woman in her 20s was seriously injured after being pushed unnecessarily in front of a moving train at a Manhattan subway station early Wednesday afternoon.

According to information reported by the New York Post, the victim, aged 29, was allegedly chosen at random by a stranger. She allegedly hit her head on a train leaving downtown, before falling onto the platform of the Fifth Avenue/53rd Street station, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

The suspect, a man in his thirties who was wearing a burgundy or brown sweater, was muttering to himself at the time of the incident, according to what the American media learned. However, he has not yet been caught by the police.

The victim, meanwhile, was transported to the hospital, where he was fighting for his life, the Big Apple Fire Department said.
