Unfortunate fate received by a woman named Yunita (57). The middle-aged woman became a victim hit and run in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.
The moment of the hit-and-run went viral after the CCTV footage at the location spread on social media. It can be seen that the victim, who was initially walking on the side of the road, was hit by the perpetrator and fell over.
In the viral video, the perpetrator can be seen riding a motorbike in tandem. The perpetrator also appeared to be wearing a high school uniform.
Victims Experience Fractures and Concussions
The victim’s daughter, Nina, said the incident occurred on Thursday (20/7) afternoon. He said his mother did live in the area.
“The incident actually happened yesterday, Thursday at 15.13 WIB, more or less. It (the location) is on Jl Lestari in front of the fruit shop. Until now the perpetrators have not been caught, there is no one yet,” Nina told reporters, Friday (21/7).
“My mother actually has a house around it, my mother wants to go to the drugstore. We are often there every day,” he continued.
Nina said her mother fainted. He said his mother had broken bones and a concussion.
“That’s my mother passed out, just woke up last night. Imagine my mother fainted just woke up last night, we took her to Adhiyaksa Hospital. There’s a concussion in the left side of the brain, I want to have it x-rayed again. We’ve had two operations, tomorrow it’s surgery for the left arm, it’s broken. It’ll only be Monday in the brain. It’s already bad,” said Nina.
Nina said the hit-and-run perpetrator was suspected to be a high school student. He hopes this case is investigated thoroughly.
“I already got the (CCTV) video, so he was driving his motorbike, shaking from right to left, shaking like a snake carrying his motorbike. He had hit my mother instead of stopping and instead gasped again, he had time to look, screamed, even went mad. That’s what we don’t accept,” said Nina.
“The high school student was hit by two of them. I have also reported the police to the Kebon Nanas office, East Jakarta,” he added.
