A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday morning by PSP for burning her ex-partner’s car on Rua da Barranha, in Senhora da Hora, Matosinhos.
The car was completely destroyed by the flames. Weeks before, he had tried to set the car on fire.
According to a source of the authorities, the woman, of Brazilian nationality, started the fire “using a lighter and did it for passionate reasons”.
The fire originated at 3:25 am and ultimately destroyed the vehicle, a 1997 Mazda. After the arrest, the arsonist was taken by the PSP to be presented to a judge.
