USA.-It is not common, it is almost a feat for a woman to have a multiple birth, but three twin pregnancies in a row is a miracle!
Kimberly Alarcón gave birth to twins Kenzy and Kenzly at Westchester Medical Center in New York on Monday, April 25. The only news for her at this point is that this was her first C-section, but she has had normal deliveries four other times.
Today Kimberly and her family are plunged into the chaos of 10 children in total. Her mother had 3 children, two biological and one adopted (although she also has her blood as hers was originally her nephew), when she had her first set of twins six years ago. Then came the second… and although they couldn’t believe it, they experienced the third.
Twin delivery in New York amazes doctors
A curious fact is that all the pregnancies were conceived naturally, that is, without any fertilization treatment.
Dr. Angela Silber told NBC New York that “the odds of it happening three times in a row are very unusual.” So much so that throughout 20 years in the medical center he had never seen a similar case.
One in every 90 pregnancies by natural conception is of twins. Although some women, like Kimberly, are more likely to be mothers of twins, as they have a previous history and are over 35 years old; Kimberly is 37. Plus, she ovulates more than one egg making the hard part natural.
This mother had 10 biological siblings and another 8 who came by adoption. Although her husband, John, a detective, grew up with only one brother and always yearned for a big family, she told Today Parents.
The family is large, but even so they do not rule out having more children, after all they are very happy to receive more members at the same time.
