“When I started receiving these threats, I started getting frustrated by those people who called my mobile phone non-stop or said through WhatsApp messages from unknown numbers or numbers from other countries that the I have this type of debt. They told me he had to pay all the debt. If I didn’t pay this, they threatened to have a copy and full access to my cell phone and I had to pay.. They had sent me pictures of the call logs I had made to my partner at the time, to people I knew, to my family and well, with horror I started paying and paying and paying. At first it was on weekends, on Saturdays two and three times, on Sundays and then it was every day” she denied.

The threats escalated quickly. The woman received constant calls and text messages from unknown numbers, demanding payment of amounts between $80,000 and $320,000. “They told me I had to pay or face dire consequences,” he said. Although he tried to avoid the threats, felt obligated to pay, racking up a total debt of $7 million in just one month.

The highest level of their suffering came when the perpetrators created a WhatsApp group with their contacts, where they began to send personal information and photos, thus increasing the pressure. The woman received messages with death threats, even sending her disturbing videos that brought her to the point of despair.. “They told me they knew where I lived and that they would destroy my family,” she said, visibly distressed.

Last week, after paying almost $6 million, I couldn’t take it anymore, I couldn’t get any more money to pay that and I stopped paying.. I received a threat with the list of people I was in contact with and they sent me another picture with a picture of me, I didn’t take that picture of myself, with my ID next to it and they also sent me a video of being ‘circling someone telling me if I didn’t pay they were going to do the same thing to me, that they already knew where I lived, that they were going to burn my house, that they were going to take all the members of my family And they were going to take a piece of her and me too, a piece of his ear, a piece of his head (…). The video they sent me is scary, scaryr. I reported this fact again to the Prosecutor’s Office, very scared and when I told this the person from the Prosecutor’s Office told me not to pay anymore.”
