NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department launched an investigation after a woman was found dead of multiple stab wounds in her Brooklyn home on Tuesday.
The discovery was made at 3:15 pm at 1070 East 56th Street in the Flatlands section of the county.
The victim was identified as a 66-year-old woman. He received wounds on his face, neck, chest and back, police said.
According to authorities, she was located in the bedroom of the residence.
Police are actively looking for any suspects in connection with the death. Investigators were seen coming in and out of nearby homes in the area, while the victim’s home remains under investigation.
The medical examiner is expected to issue an official report.
