The preliminary report of the forensic medicine in Sohag, after completing the autopsy of the woman who was found slaughtered in maize crops in Nagaa Al-Ghafir in Akhmim, revealed the presence of remnants of skin tissue under the fingernails of the victim’s hands, which confirms her resistance to the accused and her attempt to escape from him before ending her life.
By arresting the accused, he found wounds, scratches, and nail marks around his neck and forearms, which confirms his clash with the victim before killing her.
Investigations by the security services in Sohag revealed the ambiguity of finding the body of a slaughtered housewife in Al-Zaraat, the Akhmim police station district, east of the governorate, as it was found that the victim’s neighbor was behind the commission of the crime.
The events and details of the incident go back to the fact that Major General Muhammad Sharbash received a notification from the Akhmim Police Station that the body of a woman had been found in Al-Zaraat in Naga’ Al-Ghafir, the center’s district.
The investigations supervised by Major General Muhammad Zain, Director of Criminal Investigation and led by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Khalafallah, Chief of Investigation at Akhmim Police Station, revealed that the body of “NA”, a 20-year-old housewife residing in Naga’ Al-Ghafir, was found in the Akhmim Police Station, soaked in her blood, lying on the ground with her arms Corn, infected with stab wounds in the neck and other stab wounds in separate places of the body.
The investigations concluded that the 19-year-old “M.G.” was behind the commission of the incident, a worker of “the victim’s neighbor.” The investigations added that the accused committed the crime by requesting a sum of money from the aforementioned, knowing that she had money because her husband works in one of the Arab Gulf countries, and the accused refused that. He assaulted her with a white weapon, which resulted in her death from her injuries, and threw her body in the corn fields behind her house.
A report was issued on the incident, and the Public Prosecution Office took over the investigations.
