The police were notified on Thursday night that a woman had been found dead in Kvinnherad. The woman was found outdoors. Preliminary findings indicate that she was killed, the police write in a press release.
A person was arrested near the place where the woman was found. The person in question has been given the status of accused.
Has notified relatives
The dead woman has not been formally identified, but the police believe they know who she is. The relatives have been notified.
– We will not go into more detail at this time. There will be more information at 10 o’clock, says operations manager in the West police district, Stine Mjelde.
Forensic scientists will arrive at the scene on Friday morning.
The accused person has been taken to Bergen city center police station and will have a defender appointed.
