CANTON ‒ Police believe that a woman whose body was found Monday morning along the Middle Branch of the Nimishillen Creek died by suicide.
Police spokesman Lt. Dennis Garren said that a passerby called at 7:48 a.m. to report seeing the body under the Spangler Street NE bridge, which spans the creek.
Police were in the process of notifying her family at midday Monday.
