The police received a report of concern from a relative of the woman on Monday at 9.49pm.
The relative said that the woman had gone missing in connection with a visit to the hospital.
– Several patrols moved out and took part in the search for the woman, and last night a car with two people was found. The woman was pronounced dead on the spot, while the man was flown to Oslo University Hospital for treatment, police inspector Henning Klauseie said.

The police cannot provide further information about the state of health of the man, who is therefore charged with murdering the woman, they write.
But at a press conference later on Tuesday, they state that the woman and the man were found with gunshot wounds.
What is probably the murder weapon has been seized.
Relatives have been notified.

Former girlfriends
The deceased woman was 30 years old, while the man is in his 30s. Both had – and have – residential addresses in Oslo.
The two were lovers for a short period just under a year ago.
The man had a restraining order against the woman.
– There is a criminal case in the Oslo police district for which Oslo has investigative responsibility, which concerns the relationship between the two, says police inspector Henning Klauseie at the press conference.
