At around 1.15 a.m. on Saturday night, the Solothurn cantonal police were reported that a car had left the road in the area of Kaselfeldstrasse in Bellach SO and driven into the local meadowland. When the police arrived, the car was found in the meadow, and the alleged driver was also on site. As Kapo SO reports, a woman was lying under the car, and only her death could be determined.
The police and the public prosecutor’s office in Solothurn immediately initiated investigations into the course of events and the circumstances. In addition to several patrols and special services from the Solothurn canton police, the Solothurn canton public prosecutor’s office, the rescue service, members of the Bellach fire brigade, members of the Bern canton police, an institute for forensic medicine, a care team and a towing company were on duty.
