US police officers have made a bloody discovery in a lonely house: parts of a gruesomely mutilated corpse were lying everywhere. The daughter is under suspicion.
What happened in a remote farmhouse in the 350-person nest of Mount Olivet (US state of Kentucky) is reminiscent of a horror film: Police officers found a dismembered body there this week, there was blood everywhere.
According to US media, it was already apparent from the outside that a particularly gruesome crime scene was waiting for the investigators. Two stained mattresses, hair, blood on the back door step, and drag marks in the grass that led to body parts.
Two tradesmen called the police. The two men had been at the house the day before to carry out maintenance work. But the homeowner’s daughter, Torilena F., scared them away and cast confusing spells on them. When they came back on Wednesday, they saw a lot of blood behind the house, the craftsmen told the police.
The officers arrived with a large contingent. But 32-year-old Torilena F. barricaded herself in the building. An hour-long war of nerves began, which the police only ended shortly before midnight with the use of a robot and tear gas.
Torilena F. came out and presented herself. According to police, she had blood on her hands, face and clothing.
What the police subsequently found in the house exceeded their worst expectations: a person’s arms, legs and head had been severed. The torso and spine were “split in half and the organs were removed,” officials said. Body parts lay in a stainless steel pot in the oven of the stove. Apparently these had been cooked. “The pot still felt warm,” the investigators noted.
According to reports, the body is said to be Torilena F.’s mother, 68-year-old Trudy F. How the homeowner died is still unclear. Initially, her daughter was charged with resisting state authority, desecration of corpses and tampering with evidence. Additional charges could be added, police emphasized. Torilena F. was taken into custody.
