A woman died on Tuesday after being hit by a van parked on a sloping street in the municipality of Brasov. Following the event, the police opened a criminal case for manslaughter, writes News.ro
The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon, on Făgetului street, in the municipality of Braşov.
“Brasov Traffic Police crews went to the scene together with police officers from the Forensic Service who carried out investigations to clarify the aspects that led to the accident and establish the facts. The first data indicate the hypothesis that the vehicle involved was not properly secured at the time of parking, which led to its involuntary movement on the inclined road, and while driving, the vehicle struck and fatally injured a 65-year-old woman” , informs the Brasov County Police.
Following the accident, the police have drawn up a criminal case and are investigating for manslaughter.
The Brasov police recommend drivers to respect the obligation to secure their vehicles when leaving them, especially if they are parked on sloping streets.
