A Porsche driver crashes at over 200 km/h into the Mercedes of a 66-year-old woman, the woman dies. A court has now convicted the man of culpable bodily harm.
Altötting – On February 8, the customs inspector was about to inspect a classic car and trailer on the A94 near Neuötting (Altötting district) when a Porsche rumbled up from behind. “He’ll have to brake soon,” the officer thought to himself. Then the PS bullet of dispatcher Johann R. hit the Mercedes of Elisabeth K. (66) in the fast lane. The mother of two had no chance of survival.

In his trial before the Altötting District Court on Monday (December 19), the 44-year-old defendant tearfully apologized: “I can’t get rid of the photos, I wake up in the night drenched in sweat. I’d give anything to reverse that.” But he did not want to accept a penalty order for a fine. However, the taking of evidence before the judge did not put his act in a better light. According to the expert, Johann R. was on the motorway at 21:20 at 239 km/h and also had 0.43 per thousand blood alcohol.
Six seconds before impact, he switched from the right lane to the left. He hit Elisabeth K. of hers in the back of her at 206 km/h and catapulted her into the classic car driving next to her. The driver reports: “There was an impact and my steering wheel broke. I just saw something fly and disappear in the dark, wondering why a car has wheels on its roof.
Porsche driver sentenced to 10 months probation
The victim died instantly of a broken neck. Since then, the offender has been accompanied weekly to Munich for psychological treatment. In the district court he was sentenced to ten months probation for manslaughter in combination with culpable bodily harm. He was also banned from driving for six months.
