A woman was stabbed to death on Schoolstraat in Abbenbroek on Monday morning. Shortly afterwards, the perpetrator jumped from a viaduct height of the Hartelbrug and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. An argument in the street preceded the stabbing. According to the police, it was a relationship conflict.

Rescuers have tried to resuscitate the victim. But that was in vain. The woman died on the spot. She was the mother of a six-year-old daughter. The child has been cared for and is receiving victim assistance. Neighbors say the couple was divorced.
An air ambulance has been deployed to provide assistance.
The man, who jumped ten minutes after the stabbing of a viaduct on the A15 near the Hartelbrug, ended up in front of a passenger car. The highway is expected to be closed until 1:30 p.m. for investigations.
